At Čunovo, on the peninsula not far from Bratislava, it combines a place of relaxation and artistic enjoyment. Large park of 8000, but also a ship-shaped building, both in places where the northern border of the Roman Empire "Limes Romanus" once led. You may already know that we are talking about one of Europe's youngest modern art museums about the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum. Located on the border of Slovakia, Hungary and Austria and from the center of Bratislava can be easily reached by public transport. If you ask why you should visit this one of all museums in Bratislava and its surroundings, the answer is simple - the moments of culture, where you can discover interesting modern exhibition objects from Slovakia, but also from all over the world, are somewhat exceptional. Most of the exhibits come from a collection of Dutch businessman, collector and art patron Gerard Meulenstein. In addition to the permanent exhibition, you will also find various exhibitions in Danubian, all in an area without a major division into smaller rooms. Thanks to the shape and glazing of the building, there is plenty of natural light inside the museum, making the exhibits even more prominent. The gallery also offers audiovisual center and lecture hall services, and if you are a true fan of modern art, you can buy something in your collection at the contemporary art sales gallery. If you are only interested in a small souvenir, be sure to visit the Art Shop. The museum is open every day, except Mondays, from 10.00 to 18.00. We already mentioned the park. And it also contains pieces of championship - sculptures of Slovak and foreign authors, dominated by an eleven meter high winged statue called the Danube Wings. Its reinforced concrete cladding has a mosaic surface composed of 625,000 hand-chopped pieces of glass to create a wonderful color play. Take a stroll around the park and along its promenade to discover the works of the youngest Slovak sculptor generation.
